Sheila Steis has worked with many exceptional dressage instructors, including Max Gahwyler, Deborah Inzerillo, and Herwig Radnetter of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria. She has also participated in several natural horsemanship and Liberty clinics and has studied the John Lyons method extensively.

Sheila is an active member of the Florida Chapter 16 United Professional Horseman’s Association, as well as the United States Dressage Federation, and strives for a well-rounded and thorough education for all, from the tiny tot beginner to the advanced show rider.

At 11, Valarie started her career with horses at a hunter, jumper, and dressage facility. Then at 14, she was invited to ride at a private barn owned by Ann Buxton. It was with Ann that she developed her love of the Morgan breed and expanded her riding “seats” to include driving (both pleasure and carriage), western, saddle seat, obstacle trail and endurance/distance riding.

In 1999, she transitioned to a large riding facility called West Coast Morgans (WCM) and with the owners, Glenn and Anne Winograd, used all her knowledge and experience to continue in the show world. They developed a winning combination in all the disciplines they competed.

Valarie stepped out on her own in 2019, traveled to several barns and worked with clients individually. During this season of her career, she was introduced to Sheila Steis and in 2020 moved the bulk of her time to train at Selah East Stables.

Acelyn svede started riding at the age of 5. She started showing hunt seat pleasure on the flat shortly after starting her riding career. Acelyn has shown all over the New England Circuit and in the Florida circuit. Shortly after moving to Florida at the age of eleven and getting comfortable with her new barn family she began to dabble with teaching younger students how to ride and instantly fell in love with it. She’s taught everything from saddle seat riders ready to hit the show ring to tiny tots just sitting on a horse for the first time.
